Hapkido
Hapkido is unique among most martial arts. It can be considered a Traditional Martial Art; yet it has always been mixed in nature. Hapkido combines traditional striking and kicking with joint locking, throwing, take downs and ground survival. Hapkido is one of the oldest original forms of Mixed Martial Arts; predating the modern MMA phenomena by at least 60 years. A student of Hapkido has the best of both worlds: a continuously evolving modern curriculum specifically focused on self defense built upon a foundation of traditional values and practices.
We run two Hapkido programs; a mixed teen / adult program for those 13 years and older and a Junior program for kids aged 9 -13. For children younger than 9 we run a Mini Ninjas program where the focus is on building strength, agility and coordination along with the fundamental basics of self defense.
International Hapkido Alliance
The International Hapkido Alliance (IHA) is dedicated to the propagation and standardisation of Hapkido along with its traditional spirit throughout the globe. The IHA promotes Hapkido as a traditional martial art with a keen focus on practical self–defense. Being a member of the IHA guarantees a high level competency, inclusive of internationally recognised certification for both students and instructors.

Kwan Nyom Hapkido
Kwan Nyom is the name given to the style or family of Hapkido taught by the International Hapkido Alliance. The name translates from Korean as the School of Concepts and was created by Grandmaster Geoff in June 1999.
As some one famous once said:
" Teach a man a technique and all he knows is a single technique, teach a man a concept, then the applications and possibilities are endless"
Well actually it wasn't someone famous, I just made that up, but hopefully you get the point 🙂
